Saturday (5/16), a ceremony was held to celebrate the conclusion of another successful, annually held, Junior Firefighter Academy. These young Firefighters were given an overview of what to expect when they go on for formal training in the coming years.

Tonight the junior firefighters from Lloydsville participated in the annual Junior Academy presented by the officers of the Unity Township Fire Bureau. Juniors participated in throwing ladders, arial operations and a fire dynamics lesson by Pa Fire Academy Field Instructor John Story.

Every year the Lloydsville VFD takes a few months around the Christmas season to do a little extra fundraising to help a local family in need. The Lloydsville Adopt-A-Family has been going on for the past 15 years.
