Kentucky Tornado Relief

We are still collecting money for the Kentucky Tornado Relief until Midnight tonight. We are currently up to $340 to send, however let’s dig deep and see if we can help more. Together, we can help rebuild.

As we all know, Mother Nature is truly the great equalizer and right now our neighbors in Kentucky need our help. The Lloydsville Volunteer Fire Department has set up a donation option on our Square page where you can safely donate directly to help those affected by this tragedy. 11/16/21 Lloydsville crews along with other Unity township companies had the opportunity to tour a Spirit Airlines jet along with a Blackhawk Helicopter. We were educated by airport maintenance personnel to help give more information in case an emergency.

This morning, while part of the crew participated in the Fort Ligonier Days standby, other members participated in a PA DCNR Forestry team field exercise. Members brush up on forest fire skills and got to collaborate with members of the team from other departments.

We would like to take a moment to congratulate our marvelous members who received notice today that they have PASSED their Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner Firefighter II! This took hours of work and numerous trainings to help prepare for these tests.
